Delete a Lease Payment That Has Already Been Deposited

Delete a deposited lease payment in DoorLoop when received in error — step-by-step process to reverse a payment already marked as deposited.

Overview

If you received a payment in error and marked it as deposited already, here's how you can delete that payment.

The Steps

  1. To delete a payment that has already been deposited, click Leasing on the main menu and then click Active Leases.

  2. Find and click on the lease you want to delete a payment on.

  3. On he lease, click the Transactions tab and find the lease payment you need to delete. Click on the 3-dots on the right side of the transaction line and choose Edit.

  4. Once on the Receive Payments window, you'll see that the payment has already been deposited. First, click on the View Deposit button. This will take you to the Edit Bank Deposit window.

  5. On the Edit Bank Deposit window, you'll see the deposit that was made for the payment. You have two options here for how to delete the bank deposit:

    • If the Deposit for the payment is part of a group or payments bundled in one deposit, just Uncheck the box next to that Payment and click Save.

    • If the Deposit for the payment only includes one payment, click the Trash Can icon at the top right corner to delete the deposit for the payment.

  6. You'll now be back in the Transactions tab. You'll notice that the payment you are trying to delete now shows that the payment is Undeposited. Click the 3-dots on the right side of the payment line and click Delete.

The payment will now be deleted.
