Enable Viewing of Uploaded Files on the Tenant Portal

Before you can share a file upload with a tenant on their portal, you need to make sure that viewing file uploads is enabled for them.

Overview

Files that are uploaded to DoorLoop can now be shared with a tenant or owner if associated with a tenant, owner, or lease. These files are shared with the tenant portal or owner portal under their own dedicated Files section. However, before they'll be able to see these, you will need to enable viewing of file uploads on the tenant portal or owner portal settings.

The Steps

  1. To check if files uploaded are shared to the tenant's portal, click Settings on the main menu. Then under the Property Settings section, click Tenant Portal.

  2. On the Tenant Portal Settings window, under the Permissions tab, toggle on "Allow tenants to access shared files directly from the Tenant Portal" if it isn't already toggled on.

  3. Click Save & Close to finish.

After you enable this settings, you tenants will now have a dedicated My Files section when clicking More > My Files on the menu.

Note: You may also need to check the Property and Lease level settings for Tenant Portal if those have their own property and lease specific settings enabled. The setting for "Tenants can view files uploaded by the Property Manager" will need to be toggled on there if that's the case.
