View Requested Screening Reports from TransUnion

Learn how to view a prospect's TransUnion screening reports in DoorLoop once they're ready to review.

Overview

Once your prospect's TransUnion screening reports are ready, you can view them from their rental application. You'll get a notification from DoorLoop when they're available.

Note: It can take up to 72 hours for TransUnion to generate screening reports after they're requested. Some records may require courthouse verification, which can extend that timeframe further.

The Steps

View requested tenant screenings on the rental application

If you did request tenant screenings as part of the application process then the screening reports will be automatically requested as soon as the application has been filled out and submitted.

  1. To view your tenant screenings on a rental application, click Leasing > Rental Applications on the main menu.

  2. On the Applications tab of the Rental Applications page, find and click on the rental application you want to look at.

  3. Once on the prospect's rental application, click the View Reports button on the Overview page.

  4. This will take you to the Reports tab where you can view the following reports:

  5. Each will show the expiration date listed 30 days after the date they were generated. Make sure to download these reports for your records before they expire.

  6. Click on each report to review it. If you want to save the reports, you can download a PDF by clicking on the PDF button in the upper right corner of the report.

Note: These reports are part of TransUnion's SmartCheck Plus package shown here.

Tip: You could then upload these reports to the Files tab of the rental application or prospect for easy data management. You could even send them to your prospect if they request it.

You're now ready to make your leasing decision.

New Local Regulation Compliance:

In certain jurisdictions, criminal and eviction data is released in two phases to comply with local tenant protection laws. See Two-Phase Screening Enforcement for Criminal and Eviction Data for details.
