Overview

Although you can’t edit multiple recurring rent charges all at once, you can still update them quickly one by one using the Recurring Transactions Details report. This report gives you an easy way to see all your recurring rent charges in one place, so you can review and edit each charge without having to open every lease individually. It’s a simple way to save time and keep all your rent charges accurate and up to date.

Note: If you are trying to schedule rent increases, do not use this method. Instead, you'll need to follow the instructions here: Schedule a Rent Increase, which will create a new rent schedule that takes over the existing one at the time rent is set to increase.

The Steps

  1. To edit multiple recurring rent charges quickly without having to go through each lease individually, click Reports on the main menu. Then click the Recurring Transactions Details report.

  2. With the Recurring Transactions Detail report up, you will be able to see each active lease and the recurring rent charge for each.

  3. Click through each recurring rent charge you want to edit, which will bring up the Recurring Rent window for that lease. Here you'll be able to update the following:

    • Start Date: This will change the date when the rent will post

    • Frequency: This will change how often it posts

    • Amount: This will change the amount that is posted

  4. Click Save when you are done, and then repeat the steps above to edit other recurring rent charges.

That's it. By following these steps, you can easily keep your recurring rent charges accurate and ensure your tenants’ accounts stay up to date.
