Overview
AI Inspections uses a mobile-first workflow to document a unit's condition. Move through each room, take photos, add notes, and assess each item's condition, with your progress automatically saved along the way.
Note: DoorLoop AI Inspections is available on the Pro and Premium tiers as a paid add-on. If you're on the Starter plan, you can upgrade to access it. To try AI Inspections without upgrading first, see Try AI Inspections for Free.
The Steps
To begin an inspection, click Leasing > Inspections on the main menu.
Find the lease with the unit that needs inspecting and click "Continue inspection."
Next, click "Start Inspection."
You will start with the first room and click "Inspect Area." The entire Area will show up on the left side where you can go through each Item to inspect.
For each item, you will need to mark the following:
Condition Assessment: Select the condition of the items
Media: Take photos of the feature
Notes: Add any notes if necessary
Assign: Assign who is responsible for any damages
Click Next Area when you are done assessing each item in the area.
Once you have completed the last area for inspection, click "Finish Inspection."
If any areas or items are missing an assessment, you'll see an Inspection Incomplete summary. Click Continue Inspection to finish the remaining areas and items, or click the "# missing" link next to a specific area to jump straight to it. You can also click Finish Anyway to skip the remaining items and submit the inspection as-is.
Once the inspection is complete, you'll see a Summary showing how many areas and items were inspected, how many issues were found, and how many photos were taken. Click View Inspection Report to open the full report as a PDF in a new tab, which you can print or download.
If you leave the inspection before finishing, your progress is automatically saved, and you can pick up where you left off.
