Overview

You can post an update to a task — a message plus any field changes — which is logged in the Activity Feed and can notify the people involved. To change a task's details without posting a message, see Edit the Details of a Task instead.

The Steps

  1. To update a task, click Tasks & Maintenance > All Tasks on the main menu.

  2. Next, find and click on the task you want to post an update for.

  3. On the task's overview page, click the Post an Update button.

  4. On the Post an Update window, you can add a message and change the due date, status, priority, and assignees. You can choose to notify the assignees of these changes via email.

  5. Click Save when you are finished.

  6. Updates made on a task will appear in the Activity Feed on the Overview page of the task.

Your update is saved and will appear in the task's Activity Feed, where you and anyone assigned to the task can see the full history of changes.
