Overview

There are several cases where you might need to change the terms of an active lease. Maybe you realized that you recorded the wrong start or end date for the lease and you need to fix this. Perhaps you've renewed an existing lease for new terms. Rather than ending the existing lease and starting a new one, you can just update the existing lease's end date or change it to month-to-month.

The Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Leases and then click on Active Leases.

  2. Find the lease you want to edit terms for and click on it. You can either sort the list by the various columns and filters or use the Search leases search bar.

  3. Click on the Settings tab and then click Lease Terms.

Alternatively, you can also click on the blue circle with three vertical dots in the top right corner and select Edit.

  4. Change the Start date, End date, turn on Rollover to "Month to Month" at the end of the term, or switch to a Month-to-Month lease as needed.

  5. Click Save to finish.

That's it! Despite having set the wrong terms on a lease, you were able to edit it later to set new terms.
