Overview

For most things in DoorLoop, you can add Notes to refer to later. For example, you might add notes to properties or units listing their appliance information. Whether it's for a tenant, a lease, a prospect, an owner, a vendor, or a task, whatever you need to keep information for, adding notes might help you.

The Steps

Although getting to the object you want to add notes for in DoorLoop will be different depending on what you are trying to find, adding and editing notes is the same for everything.

Step 1

Find the object you want to add a note for in DoorLoop and click on it.

For example, if you are adding a note to a Unit, go to Rentals < Units and click on the unit you want.

Step 2

Click on the Notes tab and then click the + Add New Note button.

Step 3

Enter in the following information for the note:

  • What's your note's title?: Easy, enter the title of your note so it is easy to find later.

  • Select Tags: If you've created Note Categories, you can assign your note to one of these categories so you can filter by it later. This can be helpful if you have a large number of notes and need to sort them.

  • Write your note...: Enter in the content of your note.

Step 4

Upload any necessary files (optional) and click Save to complete.

Step 5 - Edit or Delete a Note

  • If you ever need to edit a note, find it on the Notes tab, then click on it. If needed, you can filter the notes by the date created, who created the note, note tags (the note categories you've created), or use the search bar.

  • Make the changes you need to make, then click Save.

  • You can also click on the three vertical dots icon in the upper right corner of the note and choose Edit.

    • If you need to delete the note, choose Delete.
