Overview
For most things in DoorLoop, you can upload files to keep everything in one place. Add signed leases to lease records, photos to tasks or work orders, or documents to tenants, owners, and vendors. And if anything changes, you can easily edit file names or delete files you no longer need.
The Steps
DoorLoop also has the ability to view all your files in one place instead of viewing them where you had uploaded them at. To access the Files section, on the main menu, just click Files. You'll get an overview of all the files you've ever uploaded, what they're related to, who created them, and on what date. Here, you'll be able to edit file info, preview the file, and delete a file if needed.
Edit a File
To Edit a File, click Files on your main menu. Then, find the file you want to edit. Click the 3-dots to the right of the file and select Edit Info.
On the File Info window, you'll be able to make changes to File Name, Add Description, and Select Tags. You will not be able to edit anything else about the File, not even what it is related to.
Click Save Files when you finish making your file edits.
Delete a File
To Delete a File, go to Files on your main menu. Then, find the file you want to delete. Click the 3-dots to the right of the file and select Delete.
A Delete Confirmation window will pop up. Click Delete to confirm that you want to delete the file to finish.
Note: Once a file has been deleted, it cannot be recovered.
View a File
The easiest way to preview a file is to just click on it from the list of files. Doing so will open a preview of file for you to view. However, there some files cannot be previewed and if this is the case for the file you want to view, you will need to download it instead.
To download a file, click the 3-dots to the right of the file you want to download and select the Download option. You'll then be able to view the file using any supported app on your device that can view it.
Once you've edited or deleted a file, those changes are reflected everywhere that file appears — including on the Files page and on the object it's associated with.
