Overview

By default, your lease names will show the names and/or company names of your tenants. However, you can change this if you'd like!

The Steps

  1. To rename a lease, click Leasing on the main menu and then click on Active Leases.

  2. Find the lease you want to rename and click on it.

  3. Click on the Settings tab and click on the Lease Name & Notes button.

  4. Edit the Lease Name to whatever you like. (If you write a note on the Lease Name & Notes section, it will show up as a Description on the lease Overview tab as well as on the Lease Notes column on the Rent Roll Report).

  5. Click Save to finish.

That's all you have to do to rename the lease!

Important: The Lease Name will change automatically if you edit certain portions of the lease. For instance, if you move-in or move-out any tenants, the Lease Name will change to reflect who is left on the lease. So if you had set up a custom name for it, you'll need to go back and edit the name again.
