You might have a tenant who leases multiple units from you — whether they're an individual or a company. DoorLoop supports this by letting you attach the same tenant to more than one lease.

As long as you use the same tenant record when creating each lease, they can log in to a single tenant portal and access all their leases using the same login credentials.

When you create a new lease for a tenant you already rent to, instead of creating a new tenant, select your existing tenant from the list of tenants shown.

Make sure the Tenant Portal option is turned on for the new lease. This sends them a new invite they can accept. If they already had access to the tenant portal from another lease, they can just enter the same login credentials as before.

When a tenant with multiple leases logs into their tenant portal, they have the option to choose which lease they want to access. Each lease has its own separate information — its own lease ledger, announcements, and options to make payments or submit tenant requests.

While viewing one lease, the tenant can easily switch to another by clicking the lease name or address at the top of the page. This creates a dropdown menu with their other leases listed that they can select. Once they select the other lease, they can click Change to switch to the other lease.

Once set up this way, a tenant with multiple leases has one login for everything, with each lease's information kept fully separate inside their portal.
