Overview
If you want to give your owners access to your account so they can view (but not edit) relevant information and reports, you can do this by adding them as a User and giving them the Property Owners role. For example, you might want your owners to log in and view tenants and lease transactions on their properties, or view reports like their Profit & Loss statement or Rent Roll, without you having to send those to them.
Tip: You can accomplish much of this by inviting your property owner to their own Owner Portal instead. This way, you don't have to manage User Roles.
The Steps
Follow the steps in Add a New User to Your DoorLoop Account, and select Property Owners as their User Role.
Note: When adding the owner as a User, make sure to also limit which bank account(s) and which property (or properties) they can see, under the Bank Accounts and Properties tabs on their User profile. Otherwise, they may be able to view banking and property data beyond their own.
If the default Property Owners role doesn't have the permissions you want, you can edit it — see Limit Access to Your Users by Editing User Roles. (Starter Plan accounts can only use the default user roles and cannot edit them.)
Once saved, the owner receives an invitation email to set up a password. They can then log in at https://app.doorloop.com/auth/login using their email address and password. You can track the status of this invite under Communications > Communications Log.
