Overview

In the past, if you wanted to issue credits to multiple units on a property, you'd have to issue those credits one at a time to each unit. Now, DoorLoop allows you to post bulk charges for multiple units on a property at once. An example of why you'd want to do this could be that you had a special this month and your tenants didn't have to pay for parking. You save a lot of time by being able to issue those credits in bulk over multiple units at once.

Note: If you have multiple units on different properties that require credits, you'll need to do this for each property.

The Steps

  1. To bulk issue credits on multiple leases, click the + Create New in the upper left-hand corner. Then click Issue Credit under the Tenant Transactions section.

  2. On the Issue Credit window, click on the Switch to Bulk Issue Credits link to issue new bulk credits.

  3. You’ll be prompted to select a property to which you want to issue bulk credits. Click on the property you want to apply bulk credits for.

  4. Select the units you want to issue bulk credits to. You can click the box next to each line item or the top box to select all units. (You can only click units with active leases.)

  5. Next, you’ll want to enter the relevant information:

    • Account: Choose the account category for the credits

    • Date Issued: Change the date of when the credits are issued

  6. Next, choose the Common Charge Allocation, meaning do you want to allocate the charges manually, evenly per unit, or by the size of the units.

    • Allocate Manually: You will need to enter the amounts manually for each unit.

    • Allocate Evenly: Evenly distribute the Total Credit amount between all units.

    • Allocate by Size: Distribute the Total Credit amount between all units based on size.

  7. If you choose either the Allocate Evenly or Allocate by Size option, you’ll need to enter a Total Credit amount and choose Rounding type (by nearest hundredth, nearest tenth, or nearest whole number). Then click Allocate.

This will distribute the Total Credit to each of the Units you chose based on the parameters you set.

  8. Click Save to finish.

If you need to issue more bulk credits, just repeat the steps again.
