Overview

Form 1099 is a series of tax forms used in the United States to report various types of income other than wages, salaries, and tips. There are several different types of 1099 forms, each used to report a specific type of income. We'll be concentrating specifically on the 1099-MISC (owners) and 1099-NEC (vendors) forms.

To determine if you need to send a Form 1099 to your vendors or owners, speak with your accountant first before filing. Refer to the IRS Instructions for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC for more information.

Note: Creating 1099s is not available to Starter Plans. Consider upgrading to the Pro or Premium Plans to access this feature.
