Learn how to remove or delete announcements after they've been sent

Overview

Announcements in DoorLoop are an integral feature that can be very useful when trying to communicate with your tenants. DoorLoop's Announcements feature allows you to send messages to your tenants via email, text, voice message, and posts to their tenant portal. While you can't delete or edit email, text, and voice messages after they've been sent, you can delete and edit announcements sent to the tenant portal. We'll show you how.

Note: Announcements are not available to Starter Plans. Consider upgrading to the Pro or Premium Plans to access this feature.

The Steps

How to Delete an Announcement

  1. On the main menu, click on Communications and then click Announcements.

  2. You'll now be on the Announcements page where you'll see a list of all the announcements you've ever posted. From this overview page, the only options you're going to have here are to View the announcement or Delete the announcement. You do so by clicking the three dots at the end of each line item.

  3. Click Delete and when the popup appears to confirm, click Delete again.

  4. You're done.

Note: Deleting the announcement removes the record of it on your Annoucenemnts overview page and will also delete it from the tenant portal if it was posted there. It will not un-send an email, text, or voice message.


How to Remove an Announcement from the Tenant Portal Without Deleting It

If you want to remove or edit an active announcement from the Tenant Portal and you don't want to just flat-out delete an announcement, you would follow the steps below. This method preserves a record of the announcement.

  1. On the main menu, click on Communications and then click Announcements.

  2. You'll now be on the Announcements page where you'll see a list of all the announcements you've ever posted. Click on the announcement you want to remove from the tenant portal or use the three dots at the end of the line and click View.

  3. On the overview page of that particular announcement, click the blue circle with the three dots in the top right-hand corner. Select Edit from the menu.

  4. Once on the Announcement Preview popup, use the Show this announcement in the tenant portal toggle to turn it off.

  5. When you are done, click Save.

Note: Once an announcement has been removed and set as N/A status, you can not reenable the announcement even though you have the option to. It will not show up on their portal again.
