Overview

The Lease Late Fees report is where you would be able to view all your leases and see whether or not they have Late Fees active or not. While there is other useful information on the report such as the lease start and end date, the renewal status, and how much their current rent is, the purpose of this report is just to view if Lease Late Fees are active or not. However, and interesting feature of this report is that you can actually turn late fees on and off from here as well as do that in bulk, which can save you time.

Lease Late Fees Report

To get to the Lease Late Fees report, click Reports on the main menu and then click Lease Late Fees under the Leasing section.

Turning Lease Late Fees On and Off in Bulk From the Lease Late Fees Report

  1. From the Lease Late Fees Report, you will see a list of all your active and inactive leases. Use the Filter button and change the Status field to Active so you will only see active leases.

  2. If you look at your active leases now, the column for Lease Late Fees will show you which leases have Late Fees active on them or not.

  3. Select the leases you want to add or remove a late fees policy for by checking the boxes next to each name. If you want to select them all, click the top most box in the column. Then click the link that reads, "Edit Late Fees."

  4. The Edit Late Fees popup will appear. Toggle on or off the "Automatic Late Fees" option.

  5. Click Save to finish.

Tip: It's optional if you want to choose either the property-specific late fee settings or create lease-specific late fee settings.

Set Up Late Fees in Bulk From the Lease Late Fees Report

  1. You can also use the Lease Late Fees report to set up your late fees in bulk.

  5. If you toggled on "Automatic Late Fees," then you have two options to choose from:

    • Use property default late fee structure: this will use the same late fee schedule as your property settings.

    • Select a late fee structure for this lease: this will set a unique late fee schedule for this lease that you will create now. (refer to the Set Up Automatic Late Fees article for the explanation of each section.)

  6. Click Save to complete the process.

Note: Using the "Select a late fee structure for this lease" will make all the leases you choose follow the same late fee structure.
