Overview

DoorLoop makes use of Checkbook.io when sending payments. When sending an electronic payment to your owner, vendor, or tenant, they will receive an email with your payment attached, but what do they do with it? They'll need to open the email and follow the instructions. It's a very simple process and will ensure that they receive their money quickly and painlessly.

You can send these instructions to your tenant, owner, or vendor.

The Steps

  1. In your inbox, you'll receive an email with the subject line similar to this: "you received a digital payment". Click on that email.

  2. Upon opening it, you'll see something similar to the image below. You'll see who the payment came from, the amount it is for, and a link to View Deposit Options. Click View Deposit Details.

  3. Note that you may be required to enter a PIN code if an Identity Verification popup appears. This should be accompanied by a "hint" as to what the PIN code is. If you do not know what the PIN code might be, you should contact your property manager.

  4. Next, you'll have two options here to proceed:

    • You can Deposit the payment directly to your account via ACH Direct Deposit. By clicking this, you'll be asked to enter your account information to receive the funds. You can also choose to create a Checkbook.io account so that it'll save your information and you won't need to enter your account information each time after.

    • The second option is to Print the check and make a deposit manually at your bank.

  5. That's it. The quickest method of receiving your funds is Direct Deposit (ACH). We recommend this method for its ease and speed.

Once you select your deposit option, this screen will show the date you should see the funds in your account.

If you are using the 'ACH/Direct Deposit' option, the transfer time depends on the sender.

  • Some senders are calibrated for overnight settlement and in those cases the funds will be in your account the next day.

  • Other senders have standard processing and in those cases the funds will be in your account 4 business days after they've been requested for deposit.
