Make a User Inactive on Your Account

Need to remove a user from your account and suspend access? Here's how.

Overview

DoorLoop allows you to add users to your account, but what happens when those users no longer work for you, and you want to revoke their access? Your only option here is to make the user inactive on the account. You cannot delete a user from your account. This is mainly for record-keeping.

The Steps

  1. To make a user inactive on your account, click Settings on the main menu and then click Users.

  2. On the Users page, click on the User you want to make inactive (deactivate).

  3. Next, on the user's profile, find the toggle for Active User and turn it off.

  4. Click Save to finish.

Tip: To avoid any possible future issues, it is recommended to unassign the user from items such as recurring tasks/work orders, rent & payment notifications, rental application notifications, tenant request notifications, etc. You can also choose to change their email address. (ex. no@noemail.com).

Once you do this, the User is now inactive and can not access their DoorLoop user account any longer. They'll still show up on your list of Users but will have the status of Inactive under their name.
