Overview
It's not uncommon for a property with many units to have a shared laundry room with machines that require some type of payment. You may want to record the money collected from those machines as income on your DoorLoop account, but how? It's as simple as recording a bank deposit in the system.
The Steps
On the main menu, click the + Create New button at the top left corner.
Click Bank Deposit under the Other Transactions section.
On the Bank Deposit window, you'll want to enter the following information in the Other Deposit Items section:
Deposit Account: Select the bank account you deposited the funds into
Property: the property that the funds are associated to
Account: Here you can select something like Laundromat Collection or whatever else you want to name it as under Revenue.
Amount: enter the amount that was deposited
All the other fields are optional.
You can also add files to this deposit for reference.
Click Save to finish.
Note that if the laundry income is shared between multiple properties, you'll need to just split that amount up between your properties and enter them as separate deposits.
