Overview
The one thing you don't want when renting out your units is having tenants not pay their rent on time. Sometimes tenants do forget to pay, but now you can notify tenants that their rent payment is overdue and to please make the payment as soon as they can.
The Steps
Turn On Rent Overdue Notifications
To turn on rent overdue notifications, click Settings on the main menu. Then click Rent & Payment Notifications under the Property Settings section.
On the Rent & Payment Notifications window, go to the Rent Overdue section and turn on "Send recurring notifications to remind the tenant about overdue rent".
You'll want to now fill in the following information:
Days after rent is due: Number of days after rent has not been paid in which notifications will start going out. So if you want notifications to start going out 1 day after the rent due date, enter 1.
Frequency: Enter how often these notifications will go out until rent is paid.
Click Save to finish.
Your tenant will now receive an email whenever their rent payment is overdue. It will look something like this.
Turn Off Rent Overdue Notifications
To turn off rent overdue notifications, click Settings on the main menu. Then click Rent & Payment Notifications under the Property Settings section.
On the Rent & Payment Notifications window, go to the Rent Overdue section and turn off "Send recurring notifications to remind the tenant about overdue rent".
Click Save to finish.
