Overview
Need to quickly see which leases or properties have deposits on them? Here's how.
The Steps
Method 1 - View all security deposits under Active Leases
One of the easiest ways to view all your held deposits on currently active leases is on the Active Leases overview page. From here, you can view all your active leases and quickly scroll or search them to see what deposits are being held.
To view deposits held on all your active leases, click Leasing on the main menu and then click Active Leases.
Use the Deposits column to view which leases have deposits and how much is being held.
Method 2 - View all security deposits under Inactive Leases
One of the easiest ways to view all your held deposits on any inactive lease is on the Inactive Leases overview page. From here, you can view all your inactive leases and quickly scroll or search them to see what deposits are still being held.
To view deposits held on all your inactive leases, click Leasing on the main menu and then click Inactive Leases.
Use the Deposits column to view which leases have deposits and how much is being held.
Method 3 - View all security deposits via the Rent Roll report
Another way to quickly look at held deposits for each lease is with the Rent Roll report. This will show pretty much the same information as the above option, but with the Rent Roll report, you're able to print this out or export it to Excel format.
On the main menu, click Reports.
Click the Rent Roll report under the Business Overview section.
Use the Deposits column to view which leases have deposits and how much is being held.
Method 4 - Viewing deposits in individual leases
If you need to see if an individual lease has deposits held on it or need a breakdown of what individual deposits are being held, you can view this on the lease level.
To view deposits held on a lease, click Leasing and then click Active Leases or Inactive Leases.
Find the lease you want to view deposits held on and click on it.
Click the Deposits tab.
Here is where you'll see all deposits held for this particular lease. It could be security deposits, prepaid rent, last month's rent, etc.
That's it.
