Overview
This happens if you have already connected bank accounts with BankConnect and Plaid and the new accounts you're trying to connect are with the same bank. So for instance, if you're with Bank of America and you have five accounts with them, but only added one bank previously, and are now trying to connect the other four.
You will receive the "... Already connected to a Bank Account in DoorLoop" error, but there's a simple fix for this.
Note: BankConnect powered by Plaid is not available to Starter Plans. Consider upgrading to the Pro or Premium Plans to access this feature.
The Steps
To fix the "... Already connected to a Bank Account in DoorLoop" error, click Accounting on the main menu and then click Transactions.
On a bank account that is already active and connected, click the 3-dots menu to the right of that account. Select Repair Connection from the popup menu.
Go through the Plaid setup flow again and select all your bank accounts regardless of whether you are adding them to DoorLoop or not.
Once finished, you will now be able to connect the other bank account in DoorLoop that you were having trouble connecting to previously. Click Import Transactions, and your desired bank account should now appear on the list.
That's it. To avoid any issues in the future, when you connect to a bank for the first time, you should select all the accounts on there, this way when you try to add a bank in the future, you won't need to repair connection again.
Tip: If repairing the connection does not seem to work, you can also try to disconnect the bank account and then connecting it again.
