Overview

If you have the feature enabled by your property manager, you can use Requests to send messages to your property manager.

The Steps

Create a new message/request

  1. There are several ways you can start a request. The simplest way is to click New Request on the main overview page. You also have the option of heading to the Requests tab and using the New Request button there.

  2. On the New Request window, you'll need to fill out the following fields:

    • Subject - what is this request about?

    • Description - details about your request.

You also have the option to add files such as images or documents you want to send to your property manager.

  3. Click Save to finish.

Your property manager will now be notified that you sent a Request to them and they'll do their best to get back to you.

Request updates

If your property manager has updated the request, you'll get a notification via email or through the DoorLoop app that your request was updated. To check the update, head over to your tenant portal and click the Requests tab.

You will see your original Request on that page. Click on the Request and the View Open Request window will appear. Under the Activity Feed, you'll be able to see that the Property Manager updated the request along with any messages you might have sent back to you. If you would like to respond to the message, use the Write a Comment field and then click Submit to send the message.
