Overview
While DoorLoop's default Chart of Accounts is pretty robust and includes many accounts that you would use when posting a charge on a lease, you may need to add new ones for custom categories you want to use.
The Steps
To turn on account categories for use with lease charges, select Accounting on the main menu and then click Chart of Accounts.
Find the account you need to edit, click on the 3-dots on the right side of the account line, and choose Edit.
Please be aware that you can not edit system-critical default accounts.
On the Edit Account window, click on Lease Options in the left-side menu.
If this is a revenue account you need to use for lease charges or an expense account you need to use for lease credits, toggle on Use this account for Lease Charges.
Click Save to finish editing the account.
That's it. The account will now appear in the categories when posting a lease charge.
