Overview
The DoorLoop Account Owner has full access to all data and features within your account. To keep your business running smoothly and avoid complications, we recommend that the property management company owner hold this role, rather than assigning it to an employee who might leave the company.
If you ever need to transfer account ownership, DoorLoop makes the process simple and straightforward. It only takes a few quick steps, and our support team is always here to help if you need guidance.
With DoorLoop, managing your account is just as seamless as managing your properties. Another reason why we’re the smart choice for growing property management companies.
The Steps
Step 1 - Change Account Owner
The first step is to transfer the ownership of the software to a new User. That User will become the new account owner of your DoorLoop account.
To change the account owner, click Settings on the main menu and then click Company Information under the Company section.
On the Company Info window, click Account Owner on the side menu. Then on the Account Owner field, select the User who you want to be the new account owner.
Click the Save to finish.
The new user you selected will now be the new account owner instead of you!
Note: You must be the account owner or have access to the original account owner's account to assign a new account owner. If you do not have access to this, you will need to contact customer support for further instructions and steps.
Step 2 - Change Subscription Details
The next step is to change the Subscription Details with a new payment method. If the payment info will be the same for the new account owner, you can skip this step.
To change billing information, click Settings on the main menu. Then click Subscription and Billing.
On the Subscription and Billing page, click Edit on the Payment Method section.
Enter a new credit card on the Update Payment Method window. This should be the credit card of the new account owner or the owner of the company. You also have the option to pay by Bank Account, though this requires a connection through Stripe and logging into your bank's online portal.
Click Save to finish.
That's it. The next time that you are billed for your subscription, it will be billed to the new credit card or bank account on file.
