Overview

There might come a time when you need to change your DoorLoop account owner to one of your other users. Transferring ownership of your DoorLoop account doesn't have to be a difficult process, but there are several steps you'll need to take to make the transition to the new owner a hassle-free affair.

Note: The account owner always has full access to your DoorLoop data and is the only user who can change the account owner user to someone else. This is to prevent another user from incorrectly taking ownership of your account.

The Steps

Step 1 - Change Account Owner

The first step is to transfer the ownership of the software to a new User. That User will become the new account owner of your DoorLoop account.

  1. To change the account owner, click Settings on the main menu.

  2. Then click on Company Information under the Company section.

  3. Click on the Account Owner tab on the side menu and then on the Account Owner field, select the User who you want to be the new account owner.

  4. Click the Save to finish.

The new user you selected will now be the new account owner instead of you!

NOTE: You must have access to the original account owner's account to change these settings. If you do not have access to their account, you will need to contact customer support for further instructions and steps.

Step 2 - Change Subscription Details

The next step is to change the Subscription Details with a new payment method. If the payment info will be the same for the new account owner, you can skip this step.

  1. To change billing information, click Settings on the main menu.

  2. Then click on the Subscription button under the Company section.

  3. On the Subscription Details page, click Update Payment Method.

  4. Enter a new credit card on the Update Card window. This should be the credit card of the new account owner or the owner of the company.

  5. Click Save to finish.

That's it. The next time that you are billed for your subscription, it will be billed to the new credit card on file.
