View Expired Leases That Have Rolled Over to Month-to-Month

Rollover to month-to-month lets a fixed-term lease continue automatically after its end date passes, instead of expiring. Here's how to find leases currently operating this way.

Overview

Rollover to Month-to-Month is a setting on a fixed-term lease that only takes effect once the lease's end date has already passed. Once that happens, the lease doesn't show as Expired — it keeps running as if it were a month-to-month lease, with recurring rent continuing to post, until you choose to end it.

Because of this, leases with Rollover enabled don't look any different from a regular fixed-term lease until their end date actually passes. The filter below shows every lease with the setting turned on — which may include leases that haven't reached their end date yet and are therefore not yet operating in rollover mode.

The Steps

  1. To view leases that have expired and have rollover to month-to-month enabled, click Leasing > Leases on the main menu.

  2. On the Leases page, click the Filters button next to the search bar and click Rollover and select Yes.

  3. The Lease page will now show only the expired leases with Rollover to Month-To-Month enabled.

Note: This method is not to be used to view leases that have lease terms set as month-to-month.
