Overview

You can create tasks, work orders, tenant requests, and owner requests directly from an SMS message. This saves valuable time and helps you keep track of work that needs to be done.

The Steps

  1. To create a task from a text message on the Communications Center, click Communications > All Messages on the main menu.

  2. Find and click on the message you want to create a task from.

  3. On the main message panel, hover over one of the messages from the other person in the text thread. You'll see a popup with three icons that you can use to create a New Task, New Tenant Request or New Owner Request (depending on the person), or a New Work Order.

  4. Go through the normal New Task, Work Order, or Request flow as you normally would. Depending on what you're creating, see the following for full instructions: Create a Task, Create a Work Order, Create an Owner Request, or Create a Tenant Request (Maintenance Request).

Your task, work order, or request is now created and linked back to the original conversation, so you always have the context for why it was created.
