How Tenant Auto-Pays Handle Balance Changes

Tenant auto-pays can adjust to the actual lease balance if the tenant selected 'Entire Balance' or 'Set a maximum amount' when creating the auto-pay.

Whether a tenant's auto-pay adjusts to the actual balance on their lease depends on how the auto-pay was set up.

Auto-Pay Options

  • Entire Balance — The auto-pay charges the full current balance on the lease each cycle, regardless of amount changes

  • Set a Maximum Amount — The auto-pay charges up to the set maximum; if the balance is lower, it charges the actual balance

  • Fixed Amount — The auto-pay always charges the same fixed amount, regardless of what the actual balance is

If a tenant's auto-pay is not adjusting as expected, have them check which option they selected and update it if needed.
