Overview

At some point, you might realize you created a recurring lease transaction incorrectly and need to edit or delete it. Or a tenant might need help stopping a recurring payment they created through their tenant portal. The following steps will help you accomplish this.

The Steps

  1. From the main menu, click on Leases and then click on Active Leases.

  2. Find the lease you want to edit or delete a recurring transaction for, and click on it. You can either sort the list by the various columns and filters or use the Search leases search bar.

  3. Click on the Rent tab and find the recurring transaction you need to edit or delete.

  4. Click on the three dots on the right side of the recurring transaction line and choose Edit or Delete depending on your need.

Note that you will not be able to delete an active Recurring Rent charge, but you can create a new one to replace the old.

  5. If editing, change the necessary fields. (Or use the Delete button in the lower left if you change your mind and decide to delete the recurring transaction.)

Note that you can't edit automatic payments created by your tenants, only delete them, which will cancel their automatic payment.

  6. Add any relevant files and click Save. New lease transactions created by this recurring transaction going forward will be created with this new information.

That's it. Remember, you can edit and delete most recurring lease transactions, except for Auto-payments made by the tenant for ePays. You can only delete these. The TEnant would be the only one that can edit these.
