Overview

If you add units to DoorLoop and exceed your subscription limit, you can either add units to your subscription or make unused units inactive.

The Steps

Make a unit inactive

  1. To make a unit inactive, click Rentals from the main menu and then click Units.

  2. Find the Unit you want to make inactive.

  3. Click on the 3 dots icon to the right of your unit and select Make Inactive.

  4. Confirm the warning pop-up window by clicking the Make Inactive button, or Dismiss if you want to go back and start over.

If there is an active lease on the Unit, you'll need to End the Lease before being able to make the unit inactive.

That’s it! This unit no longer counts against your subscription unit count.

Tip: You'll now want to edit your subscription unit count if you don't want to go over your current subscription limit.

To change your subscription unit count, follow the steps below:

  1. Go back to the main menu and click Settings.

  2. Under the Company section, click the Subscription button.

  3. From the Subscription Details page, click the green Update Plan button.

  4. You’ll see a section now labeled, Enter Your Unit Count. Change the number to the new lower unit count.

  5. Click Update Plan to finish.

You won't lose any historic information associated with inactive units, such as lease information and past tenants. However, you won't be able to lease this unit again until is made active.
