Before sending rental application links to your prospects, you can preview and test the application yourself to see exactly what applicants will see.
The Steps
Preview Your Property-Specific Rental Applications in Demo Mode
To preview and test your rental applications in Demo Mode for a specific property, click on Rentals > Properties on the main menu.
Find and click on the property you want to review the rental application for.
On the property, click the Settings tab and then click Rental Applications.
On the Rental Applications window, make any changes that need to be made and then click Save & Preview. The Save & Preview button will allow you to preview and test your rental application in Demo Mode on a new tab.
Demo Mode for rental applications preview will open in a new tab. You will have the option to either go through the rental application as normal, or by toggling on the "Quick Browse" option at the top, view each page of the rental application without needing to fill in any information. This includes the payment screen if you have payments for rental applications enabled.
You can run through all the pages of your rental application, but you will not be able to submit them in Demo Mode. This is just to preview and test to see what your prospects will see.
If you want to actually go through the entire rental application on your own and submit one for review, you can do so by sending yourself a rental application link by going to the property, selecting the Rental Applications tab, and clicking the Share Property Listings button. Copy the link to a new tab or window and fill out the rental application as a new applicant.
Once you're satisfied, you're ready to send it to your prospects.
Tip: If you intend to charge for your rental applications but want to fully test submitting an application without paying, you should change your rental application settings to not charge anything, submit the test, and then change the settings back again to charge the fee.
Preview Your Company's Default Rental Applications in Demo Mode
To preview and test the company default rental application in Demo Mode, click Settings on the main menu. Then under the Property Settings section, click Rental Applications.
On the Rental Applications window, make any changes that need to be made and then click Save & Preview. The Save & Preview button will allow you to preview and test your rental application in Demo Mode on a new tab.
Demo Mode for rental applications preview will open in a new tab.
