Request Screening Reports from TransUnion

Request TransUnion credit, criminal, and eviction screening reports in DoorLoop — available on any rental application, auto or manual.

Overview

TransUnion Reports can be requested on any rental application, regardless of how you had initially set up the Rental Application settings. Tenant screenings will either be automatically requested or manually requested when reviewing the rental application.

The Steps

If your rental applications are set up to request screening reports from TransUnion, those reports are automatically downloaded as soon as they are available.

After the reports have been downloaded, TransUnion sets a 30 day expiration date on them. We don’t want these reports to disappear before you have a chance to review and save them, so make sure you review them before the reports expire. You can always also download the report and upload them to the lease where they will last indefinitely.

If you didn't initially request tenant screenings

If reports weren't automatically requested, you can request them after receiving the rental application. The steps below cover the two most common options — for a full walkthrough including all three ways to request reports (including going directly through TransUnion), see Request Screening Reports if the Prospect Submitted a Rental Application With Screenings Turned Off.

Note: If your prospect or tenant did not originally fill out a rental application and you still want to request a background screening report, you can do so by heading over to TransUnion's SmartMove service at: https://www.mysmartmove.com/.
