Overview

One common situation you encounter in property management is renewing or extending your tenants' leases. DoorLoop helps you with this process by giving you easy ways to track which of your leases are expiring soon so you can take action by either renewing them, extending them, or ending them.

The Steps

Method 1 - Use the Dashboard Widgets to View Move-Outs

There are several widgets on the dashboard you can look at which provide a quick overview of which leases are nearing their end. If you want to quickly see move-outs for the upcoming week, you can add and use these widgets:

  • Things to Do Widget - This widget will show you how many move-outs there are in the next 7 days.

  • Leasing Activity Next 7 Days Widget - Here you can see all upcoming move-outs and move-ins for the week as well as which leases are already expired.

  • Lease Renewal Funnel Widget - This widget will help you keep track of any pending lease renewals you have already started.

Method 2 - View Upcoming Move-Outs Under the Renewals Page

  1. To view upcoming move-outs that are further out than 7 days, click on Leasing > Renewals on the main menu.

  2. On the Renewals page, you will see a list of all your leases and the number of days each lease will be expiring. You can also use the Move-Out widget at the top of the Renewals page to view any leases you have already marked as Not Renewing.

Method 3 - View Upcoming Move-Outs as a Report

If you would prefer to view this information in report format, you can go to Reports and click on the Upcoming Move-Outs report in the Leasing section. On this report, you can see lease start and end dates.
