Overview

Zapier allows you to automate workflows across different applications, including DoorLoop! We'll walk you through how to connect your DoorLoop account to Zapier. For more information on how Zapier works, here's their very own guide on what they can do for you and your business.

Zapier is free to use, but there are paid levels which give you additional functionality and allow you to add more workflows (called "Zaps"). You can refer to this Zapier link for their plans and pricing.

Zapier integration is only available to our Premium customers. Use this article to learn how to upgrade.

Let's connect DoorLoop to Zapier and create a Zap!

Create a Zapier Account

First, you'll need to create a Zapier account.

  1. Go to zapier.com and click on the Sign up button.

  2. Fill out the required information to complete creating a Zapier account.

Zapier initially gives you a 14-day trial of their premium features & apps. After that, you will be on Zapier's free version and will need to upgrade with Zapier to keep the premium features.

Configure your DoorLoop Zapier Settings

In your DoorLoop account, you need to generate a Key to use in your Zapier connection when you create your Zaps.

  1. Go to Settings and click on the Zapier & API Keys button in the Company section.

  2. In the Zapier section, enter a name for this key in the Key Name field.

  3. Click the Green Checkmark to save this key.

  4. Now you can click on the Paper icon to copy the key, or click on the Eye icon to view and copy the key you just created.

That's it for the DoorLoop side of your Zapier integration! You can return to copy this key any time you need to create a new Zap, which we will cover in the next step.

Create a Zap

Return to Zapier (or log back into your Zapier account if you closed the webpage) to create your new Zap.

This video goes through an example of creating a Zap to automate creating a lease charge for property expenses that tenants must pay you for.
