Delete a Tenant's Recurring Auto-Pay

Delete a tenant's auto-pay when you need to stop future automatic payments — such as an early lease termination or an eviction in progress.

Written by Samuel

Overview

There are circumstances where a tenant's auto-pay needs to be deleted — for example, if they abruptly end their lease and you need to stop all future payments, or if the lease is going into eviction status and you want to make sure no further payments are made.

Note: If the tenant needs to re-add their auto-pay later, they'll need to do it themselves through the tenant portal — you can't set it back up on their behalf.

The Steps

To delete a tenant's auto-pay, follow the delete steps in Edit or Delete a Recurring Payment on a Lease.

Important: Deleting a tenant's auto-pay is permanent and cannot be undone. If the tenant needs auto-pay again in the future, they'll need to set up a brand-new one themselves through the tenant portal — you can't restore the deleted one or set it up on their behalf.

Once deleted, no further automatic payments will be made on this lease until the tenant creates a new auto-pay.
