Overview
A lease account statement on DoorLoop is a document that can be given to the tenant with a summary of all the financial transactions associated with their lease agreement. It serves as a summary of all charges and payments posted to their lease. You can either send a monthly account statement to your tenants automatically or manually generate them to send to your tenants on your own. Here's how you would send the account statement each month automatically.
The Steps
Automatically send a lease account statement each month
The first thing you want to do is turn on the setting for account statements. On the main menu, click Settings and then click Rent & Payment Notifications.
On the Rent & Pamyent Notifications screen, go to the Rent Posted section and toggle on, "Attach an account statement to the email".
Click Save to exit.
An account statement will be created for all charges and payments made throughout the life of the lease up to the current month's rent charge.
Note: Any charges that post after the current month's rent charges have been posted will not appear on this automatic account statement that is generated.
Tip: On the account statement, the "From" field is generated from your default Company Information or from the contact information of the property's tenant portal contact information.
What does the lease account statement look like?
Account statements will look like they do above. It shows all transactions that have occurred on a lease since the beginning. That includes all payments and charges.
