Overview
Your DoorLoop owner portal is customizable to meet your business needs. You can configure the owner portal so that the owner can see an overview of their properties and finances, their transactions (contributions and distributions), owner requests, and reports.
After you configure your owner portal settings, make sure you invite your owners to use the portal!
Note: The Owner Portal is not available to Starter Plans. Consider upgrading to the Pro or Premium Plans to access this feature.
The Steps
Set Up the Owner Portal
To set up the owner portal settings, click Settings on the main menu and then click Owner Portal under the Property Settings section.
Refer to the section below to learn what each of the owner portal settings do. When you are happy with the changes you have made, click the Save button to update your tenant portal settings.
What the Owner Portal Settings Do
Portal Contact Info
You'll have the option to set your Company Info and Company Address here. However, only the Company Name will show on owner portal invite emails. All the other information is for reference only and currently doesn’t appear anywhere else in the portal.
Theme Settings
Here, you can configure how your owner portal looks:
Add a custom company Logo (Recommended Size: 300x100), which will appear in the upper left corner of your tenant’s portals.
Edit the Color Theme, which changes the background banner color.
Add a custom background image for the portal (Recommended Size: 1920x1080).
Features
Here, you can set the ability for your owner to do the following:
Permissions - Allow owners to access the owner portal.
Tab Permissions
Transactions - View owner contributions and distributions summary
Requests - Submit new online requests and view open requests.
Reports - View detailed reports about their property financials
Reports
This section allows you to show or restrict certain reports from view. Selecting a report means that the owner can access it from their Owner Portal. With the checkbox off, those reports will not show on the Owner Portal.
Owner Requests
If you want to display additional instructions for your owner when they submit requests in their portal, enter those in the Owner Request Instructions box.
Portal Invites
You can easily modify the email invite sent out when inviting your owners to their owner portal. You can change the Title (which will be the email subject), the Subtitle (which can act as the email greeting), and the Email Body.
Note that by default the Subtitle will insert the owner's name and the company name you set in the Portal Contact Info.
Portal URL
You can easily customize your Owner Portal URL to your company brand. Enter your chosen custom URL into the subdomain box under URL Structure.
(Note that if you use an invalid character such as a space, dash, or punctuation, you will see an “Invalid subdomain” error below the subdomain box. If you pick a subdomain that has already been chosen, you will get an error message when you try to save, saying the subdomain has already been taken.)
Next Steps
To view what the Owner Portal will look like for the owner, you can use the login to portal option for your owners. This is similar to what you would be doing to see a tenant's portal. Read the article, How to View Your Owner's Portal.
