Configure the DoorLoop Owner Portal so owners can view property financials, transactions, requests, and reports tailored to their needs.

Written by Samuel

Overview

Your DoorLoop Owner Portal is customizable to meet your business needs. You can configure the portal so owners can see an overview of their properties and finances, their transactions (contributions and distributions), owner requests, and reports.

After configuring your settings, make sure to invite your owners to use the portal.

Note: The Owner Portal is not available to Starter Plans. Consider upgrading to the Pro or Premium Plans to access this feature.

The Steps

Set Up the Owner Portal

  1. To set up the owner portal settings, click Settings on the main menu. Then under the Property Settings section, click Owner Portal.

  2. Refer to the section below to learn what each setting does. When you're happy with your changes, click Save to update your owner portal settings.

What the Owner Portal Settings Do

Portal Contact Info

Set your Company Info and Company Address here. Only the Company Name shows on owner portal invite emails — the rest is for reference only and doesn't currently appear elsewhere in the portal.

Theme Settings

Configure how your owner portal looks:

  • Add a custom company Logo (recommended size: 300x100), which appears in the upper left corner of your owners' portals.

  • Edit the Color Theme, which changes the background banner color.

  • Add a custom background image for the portal (recommended size: 1920x1080).

Features

Set what your owners can do:

  • Permissions: Allow owners to access the owner portal.

  • Tab Permissions:

    • Transactions: View owner contributions and distributions summary

    • Requests: Submit new online requests and view open requests

    • Reports: View detailed reports about their property financials

      • Show AI generated insights on reports

    • Files: Allow owners to view and upload files

      • Upload File: Allow owners to upload files directly to the portal

    • Online contributions: Allow owners to contribute funds to their property from their owner portal

Reports

Show or restrict certain reports from view. A checked report is accessible from the Owner Portal; an unchecked one won't appear.

Owner Requests

If you want to display additional instructions for owners when they submit requests, enter those in the Owner Request Instructions box.

Portal Invites

Customize the email invite sent when inviting owners to their portal. You can change the Title (the email subject), the Subtitle (which can act as the email greeting), and the Email Body.

Note: By default, the Subtitle inserts the owner's name and the company name set in Portal Contact Info.

Portal URL

Customize your Owner Portal URL to match your company brand. Enter your chosen custom URL into the subdomain box under URL Structure.

Note: Using an invalid character, such as a space, dash, or punctuation, shows an "Invalid subdomain" error below the subdomain box. If you pick a subdomain that's already taken, you'll get an error message when you try to save.

Once saved, your changes take effect immediately for any owner who logs into their portal, and any new owners you invite going forward will see the updated setup.
