Overview
DoorLoop is teaming up with Western Union to allow your tenants another option when making rent payments. Introducing DoorLoop CashPayments. DoorLoop's partnership with Western Union brings property managers a secure and efficient way to handle cash rental payments.
If you want to enable this option for your tenants, read the following article:
You will want to notify tenants of this and can send them a monthly CashPayments bill with the amount to pay, the account number to use, and locations where Western Union is accepted.
The Steps
Set Up Company-Default CashPayments Notifications
To set up tenant notifications for CashPayments, click Settings on the main menu.
Click the Rent & Payment Notifications button under the Property Settings section.
Look for the Rent Posted section. You will need to turn on "Send a notification to the tenant when rent is posted" as well as "Attach an invoice to the email." Once you do this, you can then turn on "Include cash payment details." Turning this on will send the tenant a CashPayments Slip each month with detailed instructions on how to make a CashPayment (includes an Account number and the Amount to pay) and where they can make these payments.
(optional) You can also enable the feature under Text Messages to "Send cash payment details upon move in."
Click Save to finish.
Set Up Property-Specific CashPayments Notifications
To set up property-specific tenant notifications for CashPayments, click on Rentals on the main menu and then click Properties.
Find the property for which you want to add custom CashPayments Notifications and click on it.
Click the Settings tab and then click the Rent & Payment Notifications button.
Click Specify notifications for this property if you are setting up custom Rent & Payment Notifications for this property.
