Overview

Enabling DoorLoop CashPayments as an option will give each tenant their own unique Account Number. This is the number they need to use when making a cash payment at Western Union and any other participating locations.

The Steps

  1. To view your tenant's CashPayments details, click on Leasing on the main menu and then click Active Leases.

  2. Find the lease for which you want to view CashPayments details and click on it.

  3. On the Overview page of the Lease, scroll down to the bottom and you'll see CashPayments Details section. (You will only see this section if CashPayments has been allowed on the lease. DO NOT USE THE ACCOUNT NUMBER SHOWN BELOW.)

  4. The CashPayments Details section will show the following:

    • Biller Name: This will always show as DoorLoop

    • Account Number: The tenant's unique account number they need to use

    • Amount: The amount they currently need to pay

There will also be two icons present. One is to copy the CashPayments details and the other is to download a copy of the CashPayments Slip.

  5. If you choose to download the CashPayments Slip, it will look something like this:

This is what the tenant will receive each month if you have notifications enabled to send the CashPayments Slip to the tenant each month.

This is also handy if the tenant doesn't have an active tenant portal and you want to give them this so they can make a cash payment for rent.

Things to Consider

  • DoorLoop CashPayments is not available for use in Canada.

  • If you want your tenants to have the ability to pay an amount other than the total, you will need to turn on Partial Payments.

  • There is a $5000 limit/transaction for CashPayments based on Western Union regulations. For any amount over this, the tenant will need to split the payment.

  • Each Account Number is unique for each tenant.
