Overview

Sometimes tenants can get confused or lose track of things—it happens to the best of us. If a tenant can't find their email invitation to the portal and you were planning on having them pay electronically, they will need a new invitation.

Luckily, we make it easy for you to resend those invitations! Here’s how:

The Steps

Re-invite a Tenant Who Hasn't Accepted the Invite Yet

  1. From the main menu, click on People and then click on Tenants.

  2. From the tenant list, find the tenant you’ve invited and need to re-invite, then click the vertical three dots icon on the far right side of their name and choose Edit.

Note that you can also click on the tenant to open the Overview tab, then navigate to the 3 Vertical Dots on the top right-hand side and click Edit.

  3. On the Personal Info page of this tenant, go to the section below the toggle to Allow this tenant to access the Tenant Portal.

Here you will see a blue Resend Invitation link. Click that, and that’s it! The invitation is re-sent to the email address on file for that tenant.

If you do not see the Resend Invitation link, it means that they have already accepted their Tenant Portal invite and had already successfully activated it.

Re-invite a Tenant Who Already Has an Active Tenant Portal

While there is no real need to re-invite a tenant if they already have an active tenant portal, there might be instances where you'd want to reset their login and start from scratch.

Here's how you would do that:

  3. On the Personal Info page of this tenant, toggle off "Allow this tenant to access the Tenant Portal."

  4. Click Save.

  5. Now go back to the edit screen, again using the verticle three dots and clicking edit.

  6. On the Personal Info page of this tenant, toggle on "Allow this tenant to access the Tenant Portal."

  7. Click Save.

That's it. A new tenant portal invite will now have been sent. You can confirm this by heading over to Communications > Communications Log and checking to see if you see the email/SMS sent to your tenant to activate their portal.
