Overview

Sometimes tenants can get confused or lose track of things—it happens to the best of us. If a tenant can't find their email invitation to the portal and you were planning on having them pay electronically, they will need a new invitation.

Luckily, we make it easy for you to resend those invitations! Here’s how:

The Steps

Re-invite a Tenant Who Hasn't Accepted the Invite Yet

If your tenant tells you they no longer have their tenant portal invite email, you can re-invite them to send a new tenant portal invite email.

  1. Click People on the main menu and then click Tenants.

  2. Find the tenant(s) you want to resend a portal invite and click the "Send Portal Invitation" link under the Action column for that tenant. This will send a new portal invitation email to the email address on file for them.

That's it! You can check the status of the portal invitation on the same Tenants page or in the Communications Log.

(If you do not see the Send Portal Invitation link, it means that they have already accepted their Tenant Portal invite and have already successfully activated it. If this is the case, move on to the next section.)

Re-invite a Tenant Who Already Has an Active Tenant Portal

While there is no need to re-invite a tenant if they already have an active tenant portal, there might be instances where you'd want to reset their login and start from scratch.

  1. To reset a tenant's portal and resend a new tenant portal invitation, click People on the main menu and then click on Tenants.

  2. From the tenant list, find the tenant who already has an active tenant portal and needs to be re-invited, then click the 3 dots icon on the far right side of their name and choose Edit.

  3. In the Edit Tenant window, under the Personal Info section of this tenant, scroll down to the bottom of this section and toggle off "Allow this tenant to access the Tenant Portal."

  4. Click Save.

  5. Go back to the Edit Tenant window, again using the 3 dots and clicking edit.

  6. On the Personal Info section, toggle on "Allow this tenant to access the Tenant Portal."

  7. Click Save.

That's it. A new tenant portal invite has now been sent. You can confirm this by heading over to Communications > Communications Log and checking to see if you see the email/SMS sent to your tenant to activate their portal.
