Automatically Send Receipts, Account Statements, and Invoices to Tenants

DoorLoop can automatically send receipts, invoices, and statements to the tenant.

Overview

You can easily send Lease Account Statements, Invoices, and Receipts automatically to your tenants each month and whenever they make a payment. Just toggle on a few settings here and there and let DoorLoop handle the rest.

The Steps

Company Default Settings for Automatically Sending Receipts, Account Statements, and Invoices to Tenants

The settings for sending receipts, invoices, and account statements to tenants will be found under Settings > Rent & Payment Notifications.

Sending Invoices

  • To send invoices to tenants, you'll need to first toggle on "Send a notification to the tenant when rent is posted" and then also toggle on "Attach an invoice to the email" under the Rent Posted section.

    What this will do is send an invoice to the tenant each time rent is posted. It will send an invoice for each charge posted between the last rent charge and the current rent charge.

Sending Statements

  • To send statements to tenants, you'll need to first toggle on "Send a notification to the tenant when rent is posted" and then also toggle on "Attach an account statement to the email" under the Rent Posted section. What this will do is send a statement to the tenant each time rent is posted.

Sending a Receipt

  • To send a receipt to a tenant each time they make a payment online, you will need to toggle on "Send a notification to the tenant when they make an online payment" under the Payment Received section.


Property Level Settings for Automatically Sending Receipts, Statements, and Invoices to Tenants

You can also set settings for sending receipts, invoices, and statements to tenants on the property level. You would do this if you have different settings for each property.

  1. First, you would go to Rentals > Properties.

  2. Click on the Property you want custom settings for.

  3. On the Property page, click Settings. Then click Rent & Payment Notifications.

  4. Select the option to "Specify notifications for this property".

Sending Invoices

  • To send invoices to tenants, you'll need to first toggle on "Send a notification to the tenant when rent is posted" and then also toggle on "Attach an invoice to the email" under the Rent Posted section.

    What this will do is send an invoice to the tenant each time rent is posted. It will send an invoice for each charge posted between the last rent charge and the current rent charge.

  • To send account statements to tenants, you'll need to first toggle on "Send a notification to the tenant when rent is posted" and then also toggle on "Attach an account statement to the email" under the Rent Posted section.   • To send a receipt to a tenant each time they make a payment online, you will need to toggle on "Send a notification to the tenant when they make an online payment" under the Payment Received section.
