Here at DoorLoop, we try our best to make sure inviting tenants to their portals is as easy as possible. But what if you’d like to invite multiple tenants at once? We’ve got you covered. Follow along, and we’ll show you how to invite them en masse.

Note that this feature only works for a tenant if you have already inputted their email address. If you try to send bulk invites to tenants without an email address already entered, or to tenants whom you have already invited before, it will not work.

This feature is meant for users who have already entered their tenants' information, but want to wait to send their tenant portal invites until they have fully customized the portal.

The Steps

Step 1

From the dashboard, head to the left side of the screen and click on People then click on Tenants.

Here, you will see a list of all your tenants. (Remember anyone you created that is not associated with a lease will be under Prospects)

Step 2

You can now either click on the check box below the search bar and to the left of the Tenant column to select all the tenants in the list at once, or click the check box on the left side of an individual tenant line item to select them.

Once you have checked a box, near the “select all” checkbox, you will see an Activate Portal button.

Step 3

Once at least one check box is clicked, the Activate Portal link will appear.

Clicking this displays a popup asking if you are sure you want to activate the tenant portal for these tenants. If you click the Activate Portal link again in the bottom right of the popup window, you will send invites to all the tenants you have selected! Simple as that.

For the invites that fail, you will see the reason why. Usually it is because you haven't entered an email address for that tenant.
